Dental X-Rays

Here at Drake Family Dental we are fully equipped to provide you with in house x-rays. Getting regular x-rays is an important part of maintaining good oral health. Dental x-rays are a great way to detect issues early on, saving you money, time, and potentially pain down the line. X-rays can help to identify tooth decay, bone loss due to gum disease, and even reveal infections. Dental x-rays also are used to help prepare for procedures such as getting braces, implants, and dentures. Your oral health affects your body’s health, so being able to catch different things like infection, can help you stay healthier by being able to address the issue early on. Dental x-rays are important for people of all ages. Don’t hesitate to get in touch with us at Drake Family Dental and make an appointment today.

Common Questions

For adults, X-rays will show: tooth decay, bone loss in jaw, cysts, abscesses, changes in bone or root canal due to infection.

The frequency of X-Rays varies by each patient. Some patients may only need them every one or two years. While others may need them every six months.

The amount of radiation in our digital X-Rays is minimal and our patients are provided with all possible protections, including a lead-lined apron to cover portions of the body.
