Crowns and Bridges

Oftentimes when people are missing one or even multiple teeth, or when they have decaying or damaged teeth, dentists recommend getting a crown, implant, or bridge. Crowns are cemented onto damaged, weak, and heavily restored teeth that need help maintaining their size, shape, strength, and appearance. While crowns help to repair teeth, bridges replace missing teeth. Bridges fill in the gaps in your mouth that can lead to problems such as your teeth shifting, gum disease, and even joint disorders. Not only can you get a crown or bridge installed here at Drake Family Dental, but we can help you make it last a lifetime with regular exams, cleanings, x-rays, and all your dental needs.

Common Questions

Sometimes crowns and bridges can become loose or even fall off from chewing certain foods. Crowns and bridges can also become loose due to recurrent dental decay if they are not maintained by proper oral hygiene at home.

However, by practicing good hygiene, crowns and bridges can last a lifetime.

First, we will make an impression of your bite to create a model. Using that model we can determine the best shape for your new tooth. We then create a crown based off of the model we made.

Like with a crown, we will take an impression to provide an exact mold for the bridge.
